Nature
The Hacienda Tres Lagos is perfectly fitted in its surrounding nature; its architecture and operation is oriented to balance the confort and quality of a luxury hotel with the conservation of the environment.
More than 2.500 trees are included in a program of reforestation which have enriched the landscape with native plants of Ñires, Coigues and Lengas.
ECOLOGICAL PARK:
We have realized a plantation of 33.000 Araucarias in an area of 27 ha, which also shall strengthen the partly thin vegetation of this region.
GREENHOUSE:
The hotel restaurants use exclusively organically-grown vegetables of our own greenhouse. All our installations are equipped with water treatment plants, which ensures that at the end of the process the water is completely free of harmful particles and even drinkable.
RECOLLECTION OF USED BATTERIES:
We installed a recollection box for batteries at the entrance of the hotel. This box can be used by all travellers who are on the beautiful Carretera Austral and want to get rid of their batteries. We keep them until they are treated professionally. In this way we avoid any leakage of dangerous acids into the surrounding untouched nature.
WATER TREATMENT PLANTS:
All our installations are equipped with water treatment plants, which ensures that at the end of the process the water is completly free of harmful particles and even drinkable.
ORGANIC WASTE RECYCLING PLANT:
Construction of compost recycling plant for biodegradable materials.
USE OF ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY PRODUCTS:
Hacienda Tres Lagos only uses environment friendly products in kitchen, laundry and for general cleaning purposes, which are biodegradable and generally filled in recyclable packaging.
REFORSTATION:
We have planted and continue to plant more than 60.000 native plant species, so that our guests can enjoy a completely natural and virgin environment.
STAFF COMMITTED WITH ENVIRONMENT:
The team of Hacienda Tres Lagos is frequently trained regarding measures which have to be taken to protect the environment of the hotel, the region of Aysén and herewith help to preserve the ecological system of the whole world.
